Job Summary:
The Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the CEPR Executive Director and core team. They will play an important role in the central functions of CEPR and will work across projects at the Center to ensure they have what is needed to be successful.
CEPR seeks to transform education through quality research and evidence. Job-Specific Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support for the CEPR Executive Director, including:
- managing a complex calendar, including planning, scheduling and booking Harvard-related travel.
- preparing materials for meetings, including agendas and briefings, as needed.
- preparing and maintaining financial documentation for the Executive Director, including reimbursement paperwork and financial reports in Concur.
- Performing various office management and administrative support responsibilities including but not limited to:
- maintaining and tracking internal staffing needs, including suite/building access, listservs, ongoing all-staff meeting invites, business cards, and central IT requests.
- inventory ordering and restocking.
- providing backup to the Executive Assistant when needed.
- Serving as administrative contact for University constituents and external contacts.
- Maintaining departmental contact lists and organizational documents.
- Working with staff to support organization-wide functions and activities. Providing cross-organizational support and backup as needed.
- Performing other related duties as required and assisting with special projects.
HGSE is currently developing dynamic workplace models which will actively support a combination of on-campus and remote work (within a state in which Harvard is registered to do business) where business and operational needs allow. You and your manager will discuss the best schedule based on your role and operational need. If your role allows for remote work, please note that all remote work must be performed within a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA (Only Exempt), CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, and WA). Please also note that Harvard will withhold each applicable state’s required tax and other withholdings from your paycheck for the time you work there.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 3 years of experience, or the equivalent.
- Prior program/ project coordination experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple and conflicting interests.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.
- Competency using a variety of computer programs, especially Microsoft suite and Google docs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Appointment End Date: one year from date of hire
- Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week
- Compensation Range/Rate (including Shift Differential if applicable): $60,000 - $63,000 commensurate with experience

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
