The Digital Engagement Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and project support for communication and marketing needs across web, email, and social media as part of the Harvard Law School Alumni Center’s Development Communications team. The Harvard Law School Alumni Center focuses on alumni engagement and development efforts in support of the Law School. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in building their career in higher education and learning more about marketing, alumni affairs, and development.
As Digital Engagement Assistant you will:
- Assist with maintaining the Harvard Law School Alumni Center (HLSAC) website, including updating content and providing support for staff website needs.
- Assist with social media community management and act as a point of contact for content calendar and post creation for the HLSAC Facebook and HLSAC LinkedIn pages.
- Support teams across HLSAC with paid social media needs.
- Assist with email marketing support and provide back-up as needed, including email building, testing, list building, and scheduling of emails to alumni and other constituents.
- Assist with copy-editing for a range of marketing collateral
- Support data requests and data entry, including pulling email lists and tracking analytics.
- Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years related experience. Education beyond high school may count towards experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for people with:
- A willingness to learn and proactively acquire new technological skills.
- Some prior experience working with WordPress, HTML, or CSS, plus Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgement and the ability to maintain discretion when handling confidential information.
- A commitment to valuing a range of perspectives in an inclusive working environment.
Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week; Full-Time, M-F. Must also be available to staff in-person and virtual events as needed, particularly during the Fall and Spring Reunion Weekends, usually held on campus in October and April each year.

Work Format Details
This is a position that is based at a Harvard campus location with some remote work options available. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
Salary Grade and Ranges
